Sustainable Entrepreneurship Grant Recipients, Fall 2024
The foundations of the Tampere Universities community annually distribute sustainable entrepreneurship grants. TAMK Support Foundation also distributes grants during fall. HUBS has actively collaborated with the support foundation: we have 7 incredible students or teams that have received the grant!

- Ho Duong Minh Hang, 5000 €. MYKO Beauty Lounge – Sustainable Wellness and Beauty Spa – The salon will offer a holistic, eco-friendly wellness experience centered around healing hair spa treatments and eco-conscious nail care.
2. Mikkonen Sami (+team), 5000 €. Skene Media – media production services tailored especially for the cultural sector, focusing on music and event-related content. The company creates promotional videos, social media content, music videos, and festival documentation, standing out from competitors through its extensive network and experience in the music and event industries. Social sustainability, inclusion, and collaboration between people from diverse backgrounds are central to the company’s operations. Additionally, Skene Media emphasizes environmentally friendly practices, such as using pre-owned equipment, and aims to amplify the voices of marginalized groups. Alongside creating content for clients, we are building a network of cultural actors and developing an online platform and community to document and make visible an active cultural life beyond subcultures.
3. Lind Aarno, 5000 €. BRAINDEAD is a dual-sided marketing agency focused on promoting ethical and sustainable businesses through fun, engaging, and unconventional methods. Our business model is driven by content monetization, which gives us the freedom to be highly selective about the clients we work with. This approach also allows us to offer pro bono marketing services to deserving companies that align with our values, ensuring we support businesses that truly make a positive impact.
4. Pomazi Szonja, 5000 €. Hormone Focus: Sustainability in women cycles. The project has set a goal to educate about safe and hormonal free alternatives of contraceptives, to provide wider perspective for the whole society, for better decision making and this way possibly reduce the levels of synthetic hormones in waters and plastic waste.
5. Gómez Xavier (+team), 5000 €. Inspiring With Positivity (IWP) – Sustainable Solutions: Addressing Mental Health and Substance Abuse in Finland Through Motivational Speaking. Inspiring With Positivity (IWP) is a business dedicated to enhancing mental health and combating substance abuse among youth, immigrants, and families in Finland.
6. Mclellan Melisha (+team), 3500 €. DUDU Experiences / Sustainable Tourism in Lapland. The focus is on Eco-tourism marketing to Japan to promote and curate sustainable tourism experiences for Japanese guests who visit Lapland.
7. Heikkilä Frans (+team), 2000 €. Pesupysäkki is a mobile car interior and exterior cleaning service operating in the Pirkanmaa region. We bring our services directly to the customer’s location, whether it’s a school, golf course, business, housing complex, or shopping center. Customers can leave their car keys with us and continue with their activities. While they’re taking care of other tasks, we wash their car so that they can pick up a clean vehicle when they’re ready to head home. Our service saves customers significant time, makes their daily lives easier, and extends the lifespan of their vehicle. Our goal is to expand our operations further, reaching a wider customer base and adding exterior cleaning services to our offerings.
